Twin Cities Chorus Registration
We are currently accepting registrations for the Fall 2025 semester of our Giving Voice Twin Cities Choruses for:
-
Duets of people living with cognitive changes like Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia and their care partners. A care partner can be a spouse, a child, a grandchild, a parent, a friend, etc.—anyone who cares about and supports someone on this journey.
-
Long-standing Giving Voice Chorus members singing in honor or memory of a loved one.
Volunteers will then be invited to join the chorus as choral companions to registered singers or as lead rehearsal site volunteers. Check out our volunteer page for more information.
You can register for a St. Paul or Bloomington chorus one of these three ways:
-
Use the web form below.
-
Download and fill out a Giving Voice Chorus Registration Form, write a check made out to Giving Voice to cover your registration fee, and mail both to: Giving Voice, 7400 Metro Blvd #255, Minneapolis, MN 55439. Here is a PDF of the form:
-
Call choral operations manager Jessica Clifton at 612-440-9634 to request a paper registration form or to register and pay over the phone.
If you are registering as a duet, you only need to submit one registration, and it doesn't matter which person's contact information you enter first. The form below will collect information about you and your partner—we recommend filling it out together.
Our registration fee is $100 for a duet or $50 for a single singer. If this fee represents a barrier to participating in a Giving Voice Chorus, please know that we have scholarships available to help. Connect with Jessica Clifton for more information.
Note that the Giving Voice Crosstown Chorus handles its own registration. You can sign up here: https://meetinghouse.church/music/#giving-voice.
You can find Registration FAQs on the bottom of this page.
Registration FAQs
Q: I have questions that aren't listed here! Who can I call/email?
A: Our choral operations manager, Jessica Clifton, is happy to help! You can call her at 612-440-9634 or email her at jessica@givingvoicechorus.org.
Q: How can I find out who is planning to sing in which chorus? I want to keep singing with my friends!
A: Ask them before you register! If you don't have their contact info, Jessica can help get you in touch.
Q: I/my loved one sang with a wonderful volunteer last semester. Can I/they sing with them again?
A: We will make every effort to pair you with the same volunteer. There's a place on the registration form to indicate people you'd like to sit next to. If that person is not available to join the chorus you selected but is available to join your back-up chorus, we will reach out to you so you can decide what to do. And if they are simply not available this semester, please remember that we have many wonderful volunteers eager to sing with you!
Q: Can I register to sing in more than one Giving Voice Chorus?
A: It depends! We want to make sure everyone who is interested in singing has a place in one chorus before we extend the option for "seconds." If you are interested in singing in more than one chorus, please connect with Jessica.
Q: I am a care partner to a person living with dementia. I want to register them for a chorus, but I don't want to sing myself. Can I do this?
A: First of all, we highly recommend that you try singing in a Giving Voice Chorus! Over the years, we have seen many people who were initially hesitant about singing give it a try and find it to be a joyful, meaningful experience. That said, it can work to register them and not plan to stay to sing yourself, depending on the specifics of your situation. Please connect with Jessica to discuss the details.
