Renee Fleming Neuroarts Investigator Awards Research Project:
Join a choir. Support Brain Health. Make a Difference.
The Giving Voice Rural Initiative Pilot Research Project is exploring how group singing can support individuals living with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and their care partners. This is a study in rural and outstate MN and WI. This is in association with Giving Voice, Florida Atlantic University, and the NeuroArts Blueprint Initiative.
What’s involved?
Participants will enroll in a 12-week choir program led by trained directors and engage in fun, structured group singing. Before and after, participants will complete simple research assessments with their care partners.
What are the benefits?
Enjoy music and connect with others, support research that may improve the dementia journey, and receive compensation for completing study assessments.
What is the Renee Fleming NeuroArts Grant?
The Awards program supports innovative, collaborative research to advance the growing field of neuroarts—the study of how the arts positively impact the brain, body, and overall health.
