Debbie Richman
Choral Director
Crosstown Chorus
Born and raised in MN, I’ve been singing and playing piano since I was six years old. I continued my training for both of these through college and beyond. I am entering my 30th season with the Minnesota Chorale (performing with the Minnesota Orchestra) as well as teaching voice.
One amazing experience I was privileged to have with the Chorale was traveling with the Minnesota Orchestra to South Africa in 2018. It is an experience I will not soon forget.
In the fall of 2025, I was able to fulfill the lifelong dream of getting a baby grand piano, which I have enjoyed playing as well as retuning my skills.
Giving Voice provides an opportunity to do both of these things in a different way by helping individuals living with dementia continue to find joy through making music together.
I am very involved in helping my 92-year-old father as well as working as an Elder Advocate and Dementia Care Specialist for a company called START Senior Solutions. Having worked professionally with older adults for my entire career, this role offers me an opportunity to utilize that career in a way to impact lives under tremendous stress.
I live in Plymouth with my husband, Bill and our three animals: dogs Daisy Mae and Theo James and a black cat named Magic.
