David Hovick Lohman

David started accompanying Giving Voice choruses in Spring 2026 and is so grateful to be part of this remarkable movement. He did his graduate work in choral conducting with J. David Moore at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. David spent 3½ years as associate conductor of the Broadway tour of The Phantom of the Opera. Locally, he was music director for nine years of the History Theatre’s long-running cult hit, Glensheen. His first role onstage was in 6^th grade as Mr. Banks in Mary Poppins. David loves to listen to musical theatre and cabaret music, and geek out on Norwegian genealogy, national parks, and astrophysics.
