In this session, we explore English Rose’s unique approach to person-centered care and how to respond to challenging situations with compassion and understanding. Eschewing pharmacological interventions, we turn to antipsychotic medications only as a last resort. This session covers essential communication techniques, strategies for proactively managing emotional escalations, and the importance of being fully present in someone’s experience.

Giving Voice is happy to partner with English Rose to offer educational opportunities for our singers and friends this semester! These will take place at Meetinghouse Church, where our Crosstown Chorus rehearses, and are open to Giving Voice singers and anyone else in our community.
